It is now. I was just indicating that--perhaps as useful
background, even though it's in the Kennedy
Administration--you were of course involved in Viet Nam from
a very early time, and I'd like to get some indication as to
how much Mr. Johnson as Vice

frequently did so that as far as Washington was concerned

Well, when President Kennedy came to power, he took a
look at this situation. And we decided then that it would
be up to the Europeans to tell us what from the European
point of view would meet their needs.And
